For those of you struggling to pay your BAS on time, don't forget you can request an extension to pay of up to 2 month. The initiative is part of the new Tax Office "nice guy" approach (see Interest Waived on Tax Debts).

ATO Small Business Amnesty: Interest Waived on Tax Debts (But you have to ask for it) |

In case some of you out there have not heard, the ATO extended an olive branch to all the small businesses out there struggling to pay tax office debts. From 1 July 2009, all tax debts owed by small businesses can be interest free for 12 months. The catch? you will not get it unless you ask for it. |
